Tell us a little about yourself. My name is Pierre Fenelon. My wife Marie and I we've been married for almost 21 years, and we have a 15 year old daughter Meredith. We are currently living in south Florida in the broward County area. Obviously I am a writer, I like to write about issues that matter to life in general with a focus on the Christian worldview with an emphasis on God's word. I enjoy reading, I love all kind of sports such as: basketball, especially soccer, swimming, running, etc. I love teaching the Bible, Sunday school and small groups Bible study, I preach occasionally in local churches. I am a Bible believing conservative man, also I consider myself to be a friendly person.
What was your motivation behind this project? Initially my goal is always to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in every opportunity that comes my way to anyone. And so, when I considered the mindset of this generation as it relates to romantic relationship between a man and a woman, particularly among the young people, the social libertine they employ and the blatant disregard they have for the norms. Also being a parent myself, I felt compel to offer an alternative solution, one that is solidly hinged on the authority of the word of God to inform, to educate it the right way God intended it for all of us.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? It is obvious, I would like to change people's mind in the way they think about sexual relationship. The imperative has always been and continues to be that such relation should only occur in marriage relationship. That was the model God gave in the Garden of Eden when He (God) brought Eve to Adam. (Genesis 2: 24). There were not any other options like we see happening in our today's society, where man with man, and woman with woman are come together in the same manner as a man and a woman should. That is sin, and other kinds of sexual perversion that are out there are dangerous and detrimental for the continuity of life here on earth. it is important to talk about this issue in the light of God's word in an effort to protect, preserve life for generations to come.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? For this particular issue, it affects everybody one way or another. For me I see how it destroys marriages, family, and the society in the way that people function among themselves. Such a way sets precedence for the next generation negatively where most likely our young people would not be able to make distinction between right and wrong in this area of their lives. I am concerned that such behavior would be so bad and that it would be impossible to steer them in the right direction.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Throughout my adult life I have been privileged to rub against many who have been in this life before I came. I've watched them live the way that intrigue my curiosity to find out their secret. And so, I've discovered in real time that they feared God, and the love they had for His word. Besides they taught me that there was no benefit in being bad, and no effort is needed to be as such, except only to do right, or to be right in this society requires a lot of effort. Growing up, I have been a big fan of focus on the family ideas that I listened a lot on the radio, and many books that I've read a long the way have influenced me in the right direction which gave me an awesome opportunity to influence others as well.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Absolutely, I have not always been a Bible teacher, a writer, a big fan of focus on the family radio program. It took some patience and caring from my parents, and others that came in my life to help me understand the reality of life in the God-fearing kind of way. The decisions that I have made where I failed so miserably, I learned from them, and I am still standing, it is only by the grace of God. And so, my advice to those who are in some way struggle with this issue of sexual relation in any form, or any other issues they may be dealing with, there is hope. There are people out there that can help if only they look for help, I am sure God would send the right person in their life to walk them through this difficulty they are in right now. My motivation has always been that as long as I am still breathing, there is also hope, room for improvement because nothing is completely hopeless, God bless!
