This book is an excellent follow up to the Servants Guide To Prayer. It follows in the same vein with daily Scripture readings, meditations and hymns, and new retreat models. I've used the previous Guide to Prayer for the past 2 years, and find this Guide to Prayer to be very helpful in building on the foundation that the other book help establish.

A tremendous help for someone who didn't know where to start with daily prayer. The meditations are especially useful.

A Guide to Prayer for All God's People is an excellent devotional. Many people in my church are using it as the cornerstone of their devotaional lives. This has lead to some great conversation and a deepening of our walk with Christ. The format provides a daily scripture reading along with a nice opening and closing prayer. There are supplemental readings from great Christian thinkers which follow that week's theme.

If there is a better devotional, I would buy it. The author provides daily Scripture readings based on the Christian lectionary. Each week has a theme, which is supported by readings from classical Christian writers and thoughtful opening and closing prayers. The format allows for the quick 2 minutes and out the door morning or the 1/2-hour plus session sitting in one's recliner. Be blessed.
