I was given this book "Good Grief" by Granger Westberg many years ago when I lost my infant son. It took me weeks to finally pick it up but when I did it was so comforting to me. I learned that no one had ever taught me about real life crushing grief.
Over the last 30+ years I buy every copy I find and have shared this book with so many people. I was so glad I could purchase numerous copies from Christian Books recently. My family has, once again buried another child, age 24 years. I hope that others find the same comfort I did many years ago.
Personally recommend this book for anyone suffering the loss of a loved one. It is short and very much to the point. I have given this book to others and at the very least they usually always find at least something in it that helps them or that they were unaware of. This is a subject none of us want to have to deal with, but will eventually. This book will offer compassionate help.
I bought this book for a friend whose brother died a few months ago. She had been his main caregiver for some time and has been finding his death difficult to deal with. I read the book first as I wanted to make sure it would be suitable, and found it an excellent resource for grieving people. It is small enough to put in your purse or pocket which makes it convenient to take with you, and easy to read.
