This is the series we always wanted but never knew we were missing. I am so glad we "stumbled" on it when I bought the first book because the cover was so creative! The entire series, including the Old Natalia and Archer books, kept our family riveted and begging for another chapter. Do NOT let the first few chapters in The Green Ember (which start a bit slow) deter you from plunging into this epic saga of loyalty, valor, family, truth, honor, bravery, betrayal, battles, and a noble quest for victory. By chapter 6 you will be irresistibly drawn into this fascinating world of rabbits with swords, growing along with young, inexperienced Picket and his brave older sister Heather, and finding true friends and terrible foes along the way. I especially love how Picket grows from an immature and self-centered young rabbit, into a fierce and noble character through the tumultuous experiences he must meet. As each book progresses, it becomes more intense, more desperate, more impossible - and then the grand finale exceeds expectations!
