This book is an eye opener, informative and accurate. This book opened my eyes to how harmful the Prosperity Gospel is.

This is an excellent book. It is well written in an engaging style. This is a book I think every Christian should read because it unveils the prosperity gospel for the false gospel it is and its promoters and preachers for the false prophets they are. It reveals the basic false teachings of this movement clearly and refutes them with Scripture. But the best part of this book is how Costi Hinn was changed from a boy raise in this false religion and heir apparent to one of the largest of these organizations to a Biblical Christian through studying the Word of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He is now a pastor who is proclaiming the truth of the Bible that saved him to other people so that they can be freed as he was.

This is easy to read, but so informational and educational. It's a 'don't want to put it down' book. Loved it to the end, very Biblical. Info you will receive by reading it is priceless. I recommend to anyone wanting to know more about these types of ministry.

Costi does a very good job of biblically and lovingly demonstrating why 26 of the 27 books in the New Testament warn of false teachers. The prosperity gospel is no gospel at all. Beware of the wolves who avoid talking about sin and repentence. These same wolves choose to talk about what Jesus can do for you (health, wealth, relationships, etc) rather than what Jesus did on the cross for us. We are warned of the apostasy in the last days and it's very clear we're getting closer when you see the televangelists giving empty, gospel-less motivational speeches and the millions of people cheering and sowing their seed into the ministry. I pray this book opens eyes and ears to the gospel...

I'll never be able to improve upon what many others have already said about this book on other review sites. Powerful, detailed, interesting, sad, passionate. Costi does a wonderful job of laying it all out there, on the heresy of health, wealth and Prosperity preachers, despite the sure backlash he knows he will receive, especially from his family. As one who was more or less disowned by his family for leaving the Catholic church, I know what being ostracized feels like. I have a ton of respect for Costi's courage.

I also can imagine how disappointed he is by the pastors and elders that give him the atta boy, and pat on the back, but only in private. They could use a good dose of Costi's courage. They should be ashamed. Keep it up Costi! You're just getting started.....
