As a seasoned pastor and one who graduated from Liberty back in 1978 and have attended several Seminaries since - WHERE HAS THIS BOOK BEEN ? I got cold chills running over my body reading it because the message is so plain ( and needed ) 90 % of Christians today don't get it. I certainly didn't.

Presently because of my health I can no longer pastor, however I teach the Senior Saints and we're reading this book Word For Word in our classes. If you don't have it - GET IT TODAY !

I read this book for the first time, and wonder why it isn't a required reading for every Christian! D.L. Moody asked that this book be read at every Moody graduation... that's how important he thought it was. My husband and I are going away for our anniversary, and we'll read it out loud together. It would make a great anniversary gift, or gift for anyone who would like to understand the importance of Love in the life of a Christian....for "God Is Love".

Henry Drummond's emphasis on the importance of love is summed up for me on page 53 of this little book: "The final test of religion at that great Day is not religiousness, but Love; not what I have done, not what I have believed, not what I have achieved, but how I have discharged the common charities of life." As he writes on the preceding page, "You will find as you look back upon your life that the moments that stand out, the moments when you have really lived, are the moments when you have done things in a spirit of love." Good words to remember as we all move toward our eternal destination!
