MrBeverly5 Stars Out Of 5Christlike BalanceFebruary 12, 2019MrBeverlyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have led discussion groups through this small book several times now. Each time there is a humble seeking of God to lead us to a more Christlike balance of grace and truth. This book is more applicable now than when it was written.

This little book will take you maybe 1 1/2 hours to read and has lots of little stories with powerful messages behind them. I really like the book and give it an A+. Here is a memorable quote, "It's not about earrings, tattoos, clothing, drinking wine, or smoking cigars. It's about justice, righteousness, love, and mercy. It's about grace and truth." I like that line. I also want to recommend Alcorn's Heaven book.

James5 Stars Out Of 5All or Nothing, Hot or Cold but not WarmJune 15, 2015JamesQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0We are at or past a critical point in God's response to the additions and subtractions American Christians are making to his words and commands. We need to keep in mind the view of himself that God has given us in Genesis through Joshua as well as the New Testament. He has not changed in his commands for Christian living standards (truth,) but added by provision of his Son as the sacrifice which atones (grace)if we choose it for not meeting these standards. In the New Testament we see that the preparation we must make in choosing the wonderful, undeserved gift of Christ is John the Baptists declarative, "Repent." This is one of the few books that allows us to see, God wants us to commit fully to Him as He has committed fully to us.

MartySouthern CaliforniaAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5A wonderful, short read...really meaningful.June 17, 2011MartySouthern CaliforniaAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I read this short book...then read it again, then read it again while underlining particularly meaningful parts, then summarized those parts and put them on my computer desktop so I could review while waiting at airports during my business travel. A really terrific explanation of God's TRUTH...AND GRACE.
