When it comes to God's grace and forgiveness, do you sometimes feel like church folks speak out of both sides of their mouths?
Religion says: Earn your way, prove yourself, atone for your sins, feel guilty, be weary, hope that God will accept you, keep striving, do your best, behave properly, act happy, meet God halfway, try harder, produce good works, keep the rules, don't rock the boat, don't ask questions, promise to do better.
Jesus says: It is finished Rest in me and your life will be fruitful.
In this provocative book, Pastor Jeremy White explains why God's grace and truth do not "balance" each other out. Instead, you will discover that grace is radically imbalanced in your favor Learn to let go of that religious checklist of "do's and don'ts" in exchange for the unconditional grace of God offered to you in Christ.
Whether you've hit a wall in your spiritual life, are disappointed in your performance as a believer, or have allowed churchy, religious ideas to snuff out the joy-giving power of the Jesus you originally fell in love with, it's time to relax Discover The Gospel Uncut--with no edits, add-ons, or scraps left scattered on the cutting-room floor

Tell us a little about yourself. I am a grateful husband and father of three boys. After the blessing of serving for 15 years in youth ministry, I transitioned to serve as Lead Pastor at Valley Church in Vacaville, CA. in 2009. I enjoy reading and writing, sports and fitness, the outdoors and being with family and friends!
What was your motivation behind this project? My motivation for writing this book is to help people understand the grace of God as not just the source of our salvation, but as the source of daily living. Many believers understand they are saved by grace eternally, but have very little understanding and experience of the life Jesus invited us to when He said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy-burdened - and I will give you rest."
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? My hope is that people will grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus, shedding the shackles of religious legalism in all its many forms and learning to rest (abide) in Christ as the source of all life, fruit and fulfillment on this side of eternity.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? As a pastor, I have the opportunity to preach and teach the Scriptures regularly. This project impacted me personally in realizing that this book can be a tool in getting the gospel of grace to an even broader audience throughout the world. God is too good to be silent about, and realizing that the Lord can use this book to set captives free from legalism, self-hatred and religious manipulation is an amazing effort to be involved in for which I am deeply grateful...
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My influences and sources of information include Andrew Farley, Bob George, Brennan Manning, Philip Yancey, Ralph Harris, Charles Stanley, Charles Swindoll, Sandra Wilson, Bill and Anabell Gilliam, Charles Bing, Joseph Dillow, Zane Hodges, John Best, Charles Ryrie and many others...
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I believe this book will be one of the most encouraging and helpful books you have ever read! I wrote it for those who feel beat up and broken down by the joy-robbing huffing and puffing of religious manipulation and legalism. If you or someone you know longs to begin resting in the grace of God more fully, this book is for you!
