Tell us a little about yourself.  Rebecca George is an author, speaker, and host of the popular podcast Radical Radiance. Her greatest joy is helping women pursue their passions in a way that builds God's kingdom. In her free time, she loves running outside or trying a new recipe with Garth Brooks playing in the background.

What was your motivation behind this project?  For years, I had conversations with women (in my local church, when I would travel to speak, etc.) that would always be rooted in a similar question, "Do I have what it takes to be faithful in my calling?" After experiencing those same tensions in my own calling, I deeply desired to walk alongside other Christian women as we root ourselves in biblical truth and take next steps of faith.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I hope women walk away from the pages of Do the Thing more confident in who they are in Christ AND with the tools they need use their gifts and talents to the glory of God.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  My greatest desire was to pen a message that was rooted in gospel-centered truth as opposed to others I've read that led me deeper into performance-based living. This required me to dig deep into God's Word and cling to the truth of the gospel and how God wired us to glorify Him on this side of heaven. It was a joy to discover what God intended for this book and it deeply changed the way I see my own calling.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  You will see nods to some of my favorite country music artists (Shania Twain, Dolly Parton) in some references. On a more serious note, some books that certainly impacted this message were Called to Create (Jordan Raynor), The Purpose of Man (A.W. Tozer), and The Search for Significance (Robert McGee).

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  I'm excited about a series we are doing on the Radical Radiance podcast (which can be streamed anywhere you like to download your podcasts) about each individual chapter of Do the Thing. I've invited an expert on that particular topic on the show to unpack the material and dig deeper into the truth we've found there. They are powerful conversations and I pray they encourage those who listen!
