Arranged as a series of meditations on selected passages from one of the Bible's most beloved books, this book is for Christians who, like Job, are experiencing deep suffering and a sense of separation from God.
MIKE MASON lives with his wife, Karen, in British Columbia, Canada. Mason received a BA with honors and an MA in English from the University of Manitoba. His other books include The Mystery of Marriage, The Mystery of the Word, and The Furniture of Heaven. He now writes full-time and divides his attention equally between fiction and devotional writing.
Dianne Carberry5 Stars Out Of 5April 20, 2009Dianne CarberryI am really enjoying "The Gospel According to Job", and learning from it-a very good way to study that Bible book of the Old Testament, and brings it right up to Christian ideals, etc.IN ADDITION,IT IS HELPFUL WHEN VISITING ILL PEOPLE,ESP.THOSE WHO ARE DISCOURAGED.
Ramona Ruskamp5 Stars Out Of 5February 14, 2008Ramona RuskampThis is an excellent book on Job. Our minister taught a series of lessons using it.I have purchased it for many people who were on the front line of battle against our enemy. It has proved very helpful.
Lynne Morris5 Stars Out Of 5December 28, 2006Lynne MorrisThis is one of the most honest books I've read regarding suffering, doubt, faith and for me perseverance. I was encouraged just reading the introduction! While I am sympathetic to Mike Mason's suffering, I am benefiting from his experience. Things seemed completely black to me until I began reading this book. I am beginning to understand this christian journey a little more clearly. I have such a sense of hope and freedom! I've only read the first 3 readings! I praise God for this man's willingness to share his struggle.
