This cardboard book would be a sweet addition to the yearly Christmas stories. It may even become a favorite. The true meaning of Christmas is woven in this rhyming, chunky, cardboard book. Preschoolers will love it. The illustrations are bold and colorful. This one will be added to our church nursery.

What I loved about this book- I had the board book version, is that it is a board book and perfect to read with my baby. I don't have to worry about her ripping pages. I also liked the short, rhyming verses. My baby likes things that flow with a rhyme. I enjoyed how the story goes through all the animals in the barn. My baby loves animals and this was such a fun story how it goes through every animal and how they interact in the barn. On the other hand, the illustrations weren't my favorite. The story is just ok. This isn't my favorite Christmas book about the stable where Jesus was born, but I added it to our library because I love having board books my baby can play with and not destroy.

    My Review:

Who knew barns were so busy? Was this what Mary thought all those years ago in that stable with Joseph and baby Jesus? Goodnight Manger is a precious picture book perfect for little ones. I think bedtime would be the best time for a read aloud from the book considering it is centered around sleeping.

Christmas and Jesus go hand in hand in our neck of the woods. You just can't have one without the other. The simplicity of Jesus' birth yet the fact that it was so profound speaks volumes to me. I'm grateful for the love of a Savior because of that precious act of God sending His Son to save us, we can have unrelenting hope, always.

Set about with beautiful illustrations and dramatic prose that send the new parents reeling because they don't want there baby awake due to all the activity from His birth. It was a sweet, soft, just precious book about Jesus' birth story.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
