The pictures and plot are whimsical and warming just the thing for putting young ones to bed. It assures them of things you'll do tomorrow as they drift to sleep with assurance of your love and most of all God's love. I totally recommend this book. I will be adding this book to our church nursery. It is just right for 1-4 year olds.

Boy #4: Whats for breakfast in the morning?
Me: Pancakes. Why?
Boy #4: I just like knowing what I have to look forward to. Good Night.
I was reminded of that conversation and my smile in the darkness of a little boys bedroom as I read Good Night, Little Love by Laura Neutzling. Her comforting story about a tired little rabbit and his wise and loving mummy is accompanied by endearing illustrations by Anna Currey that bring to life Mother Rabbits tucking-in tale with watercolor and ink, sunshine and shadows, shimmering stars and a cozy bunnys bed beneath a sheltering tree.
Who wouldnt want to go to bed with visions of a wonderful tomorrow? Maybe one of the reasons that some children resist bedtime is that it feels so much like the end of everything. Good Night, Little Love is more than a board book bedtime story its a primer for parents who want to weave tales of hope as they tuck their children in for the night. What friends will we see tomorrow? Will we skip stones and stop to smell roses like the little bunny or will tomorrow be full of library books and paint brushes? The play ground and a walk with the dog? A trip to the grocery story and guests for dinner?
Making plans for tomorrow gives a sense of security, an opportunity for whispered and loving conversation, and it also sets the stage for a bedtime prayer that acknowledges the sovereignty of God, that asks for His guidance and protection, and that thanks Him for all the good things that He has made and that we enjoy.
The sweetest dreams come to little people who know that they are loved by their parents and by the God who made them. It is no surprise, then, that foundational truth can sound almost like a lullaby.

Good Night Little Love may just be what you're looking for.
Good Night Little Love follows the journey of two bunnies as they get ready for bed and explore all the adventures they plan on having the next day.
This book has a lot of positives that are sure to attract the attention of younger children in your lives. The illustrations, wonderfully crafted by Anna Currey, fashion a beautiful world that is simultaneously intriguing (my two year old loves pointing out all the pictures with multiples and gleefully getting me to count them out loud) while still capturing the soothing and familiar style that just fits with a pre-bed story.
The attention for detail means that kids can connect and discover new things even after multiple reads (which lets face it, if you have kids you are going to read that story over and over again).
The story itself is fairly simply. Each page opens with the same line "Good night little love" which build in some wonderful familiarity (which I've been hoping to use for our sons echolalia) while using the following line to expand and branch out into the bunnies anticipated adventures.
This format really helped my son engage with the book as the repetition keyed him for a new page while the variation helped keep his curiosity and engagement.
My only negative with the book is the length. With my son's love of repetition each story is read 2-3 times in a sitting, however, this book is just long enough that my son just hasn't reached a long enough attention span to sit through a book this long twice. This Mama also felt the pages got a little draggy at the end. That's a pretty easy fix though with some creative page turning we get a slightly different book each time and my two year old is great at creative page turning ;)

comfyreading5 Stars Out Of 5what a sweet bookDecember 9, 2015comfyreadingQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book was so sweet, and fun to read with my son. The quality of the cover is outstanding. There was glitter and the words were three dimensional. It was also a hard cover book, which was pretty awesome. Good Night, Little Love by Thomas Nelson was the perfect addition to our already stuffed bookshelves.
This book is about a sweet bunny, whose mom is telling him all of the things they will do when he wakes up in the morning, it is told is cute rhymes with gorgeous pictures to show what happens when the bunny wakes up. I loved this book, though I felt it bored my son a little bit (it happens from time to time). I think this book is sweet, fun, and endearing.
I would recommend this to any little one that is getting ready to go to bed. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. I received it from Booklook Bloggers in exchange for an honest review.
desiresofmyheart5 Stars Out Of 5sweet bedtime story for little onesDecember 8, 2015desiresofmyheartQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Good Night, Little Love is an adorable bedtime story for all little ones. The book is full of easy and fun to read rhymes, that continually explain the love mother rabbit has for her bunny child. From the cover, the illustrations are beautiful and easily draw in young readers, but the inside book illustrations are sweet and well drawn. My little one loves this book, especially for bedtime book time.
If you are looking for a sweet book to add to your child's bedtime favorites, this one is perfect. It's a great book that shares the adventures (skipping rocks, etc.) that the mother and child have had together...and all the wonderful dreams that are to come with sleep. It's a beautifully written and illustrated hardback book -- the perfect gift book.
