Its getting harder to find this translation. My father taught from this back in the 1960's. A hard cover full Bible was given to the children through the mid-1980s. Stonecroft Min. started their Bible studies in this translation (which I think they should stick with it insteadof the Abundant LifeBible). I have other Bibles-but when I give a new believer a Bible, I still give this. Its easier to understand.

I am in love with this bible because it breaks down the scriptures real good even a teenager can understand we have no excuses not to knw the word of the Lord.

The content of this edition is Wonderful. However, it is crammed in! It needs more white space per page to make it a pleasant read.

This Bible is a better value than the smaller, blue paperback. The print is larger and easier for me to read. It's cover and pages are on the same level as one of the mass market paper back novels, except its about twice the size. If used frequently, it probably won't last very long which is why I bought two. I really like this translation. It is easy to understand but at the same time, I don't get the feeling that the translators were talking down to the reader. Mostly, I read the NKJV Bible and occasionally use this one to gain a clearer understanding of a passage. It's a good value for the price. I would buy this again.

Bible is a great translation, great for teaching...was hoping the cover would've been made better suited for riding around in my backpack. Nevertheless, you get what you pay for. At the end of the day, the Word is still sufficient no matter the vessel.
