Good Grief by Granger E Westberg

When my husband passed away a good friend gave me this little book and I can tell you it really helped me get through the grieving process. I thought I was going crazy but it was all just a part of the steps you go through when someone so loved has gone home. After reading Good Grief, I realized that I was not going crazy but I understood what was happening to me and learned how to work through the stages of grief by the goodness and grace of God. I give this booklet to whoever is grieving the death of a loved one to comfort them so they can endure and know the days ahead of them are a normal part of good grief.

2 Corinthians 1:3-7 speaks of God's comfort to us being passed on BY us to comfort others - and this book is certainly a wonderful gift to those who have lost a loved one. I can shake their hands, I can cry with them, I can pray over them, I can pray with them and for them but when I'm gone, when EVERYone, is gone, what then? Every preacher (and others) should have at least two of these on the shelf. We are ignorant of death's dates, therefore the Bible warns us to be prepared. Keeping comfort on the bookshelf is not a bad idea. Thank you.

One of the few resources that comforted at time of Father's death. Have great confidence in Westberg's 50 year grief classic.
