The closer we look at the Robertson family, the more we discover the substance and authenticity below the surface of these well-known TV characters. In this enlightening book, Jase Robertson gives us a deep look behind his funnyman exterior. In addition to stories of life in the Robertson family and epic tales of hunting of all kinds, readers will get an inside look at Jase’s personal faith in the Creator of the outdoors he so dearly loves:
“My first thoughts about God came in a duck blind as I gazed upon the diversity and beauty of creation. There is nothing in nature that can be reproduced or equaled by humans. None of our computers, microchips, or cell phones can duplicate what God has put forth. Viewing the details of this magnificent earth is better than any sermon from any preacher I have heard about the evidence of God.”
More than a behind-the-scenes look at this beloved Duck Dynasty character, readers will be inspired and encouraged to implement Jase’s “good call” reflections on faith, family, and fowl into their own lives.
metallicrab5 Stars Out Of 5Just a great book!July 8, 2015metallicrabQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I'm a hunter and fisherman, and I have been all of my life. I've enjoyed watching Duck Dynasty over the years, and I've been excited to read this book by Jase. I'm also a Christian, so it was a no-brainer for me. The book is an easy read. It's funny, reflective, and just what I needed to grow my faith. Even if you're not a fan of the show...even if you're not a hunter/fisher...and even if you're not a Christian...give it a try!

The Robertson family has a legacy....a legacy of the duck call business, yes. But more importantly a legacy of the faith in Jesus Christ, & they make it clear that it is something each person needs to make that decision for themselves, not riding others coattails to get to the goal of Heaven's Kingdom in the end of our life. The most important thing of life- serving the Lord in the way that God individually calls each of us....Jase got that at a very early age.
He tells of how his decision for Christ effected his choices even when he began dating years - & how his wife also had the same decisions committed to Christ. This resulted in a marriage of 2 young virgins....a very rare thing in this day & age - or I'd venture to say, if truth be told, a rare thing in any day & age! But a choice that God desires for all of us. I commend both Jase & Missi for that & I know their lives have been so much richer for that concentrated dedication to the decision as well. Then he speaks of the various trials he was presented throughout his life from the struggles as a child growing up before his father, Phil, found the Lord & salvation and struggling with the normal trials of growing up, and then on to having a child be born with serious health issues. The Lord has seen the family thru the health issues every step of the way as they showed their faith, and then in turn has used them to glorify the Lord's name.
I commend Jase Robertson in their bold faith & hope they always focus on the Lord whether they are in the limelight or not. Use this opportunity just as they are to make the bold statement that they will never back down for what the will of the Lord is in their lives, or in our country. I love that if that choice means the world says no more show or fame, they understand then so be it, because it is all about glorifying the Lord. You keep up the work for the Lord, Jase, & all of the Robertson's! Do it all so the Lord says "Well done, this is MY good & faithful servants!" Blessings on the Robertson's as they continue to serve the Lord in the mighty way they've been given to do that. We can take a huge lesson for our own lives in their testimonies, even if we do not live in the limelight.....trying to make sure someone sees the light of Christ in our life in the way we live our life. Buy this book & the other Robertson books, they have a great testimony with lessons that can be taken on in your own life.
