C. S. Lewis once described Christians as being "outside of the world, the wrong side of the door." But as long as we are here on earth, we need only knock on God's front door to speak with Him.
In this beautiful book, Jill Briscoe writes several short dialogues with the Father as she sees His hand at work in the diverse circumstances of life. She covers everything from the big problems--war, separation from family, and the divorce and remarriage of a child--to the more every day problems--interruptions in one's hectic schedule and disappointments with people. "God's Front Door" is a very human book and Jill speaks openly and honestly about her fears and failings.
"It's a privilege to recommend this book for your pleasure, enrichment and inspiration." --Ruth Bell Graham Written by very well-known authorColor illustrations throughoutExcellent gift for Mother's Day, birthdays, etc.

I have only been able to afford this one at the present time but look forward to purchasing more as finances permit me. She writes in a very personal and intimate way that allows me to step in to the very emotions she is writing from. I can actually experience the love of Jesus with her.
Gail Christian5 Stars Out Of 5June 2, 2010Gail ChristianThis easy read was very emotionally and spiritually stimulating. It is a wonderful addition to your devotional time and gives much food for thought and reflection. You may laugh and/or cry as you read it but you definitely will be moved and challenged to get closer to the Lord.
Naomi5 Stars Out Of 5June 6, 2008NaomiI bought a few copies of this to give as Christmas gifts, yet forgot to keep one for myself. I have now remedied that!! Everyone I have shared it with loves it. Jill is so honest and refreshingly real in her struggles, tears and eventual worship of our shared Savior. I recommend Jill Briscoe's books to anyone looking for a deeper more meaningful way to come close to Jesus!!
