Debate has raged for thousands of years over the applicability of the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation. Many in the present day Church believe that the time from the death of Jesus Christ until the present age is little mentioned in prophecy, including mention of the most powerful nation to ever exist on the face of the earth…the United States. Can this gap, commonly referred to as the “Church Age”, really be defended when an interpretation of Daniel and Revelation is applied to the pages of modern human history?
God’s Chessboard takes a fresh look at both Daniel and Revelation, beginning with a comprehensive outline of the themes contained in these prophecies. Holding tightly to the Hebrew and Greek meanings extracted from the study of “Interlinear texts”, the author compares the messages revealed with a comprehensive examination of human history from the 18th Dynasty of Egypt until the present age. This book is a must-read for those who want to better understand Daniel, Revelation, and Church history.

Tell us a little about yourself. I am a retired Marine Corps Colonel with 36 years of military service (1966 to 2002). I graduated from a Christian College and have a Masters Degree from the Naval War College. I taught at both the High School level and at Vanderbilt Univ, Villanova Univ, and the Univ of Pennsylvania.
What was your motivation behind this project? After 45 years of study of history and the scriptures, I felt there was a need to write a book that showed how God's prohetic plan, as predicted in scripture, has played out in the pages of human history.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? -An understanding of the Providence of God in both human history and in the history of the Church. Seeing the working of God in history gives us confidence of his control over the events of history. We can gain hope from understanding His soverignty over our world, especially in the current perilous times.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: This is an overview of history/empires from antiquity to the present age. It is important for the reader to not become comsumed by the details of each historical period but to put the pieces of history together as he reads, and understand the wonderful picture of God's providence.
