The life-directed content appeals to anyone wanting to live to their fullest potential, and the contemporary, retro design along with excerpts from Max Lucado's best-selling books combine to form an attractive and timeless gift.

pedroParry Sound, OntarioAge: Over 65Gender: male4 Stars Out Of 5Great encouragement for teensJuly 15, 2011pedroParry Sound, OntarioAge: Over 65Gender: maleThis little book, a compilation of quotes from various books written over the years by Max Lucado, is a series of easy-to-read snippets. Each one can be read quickly, which I judge to be important to today's teens with a "sound byte" lifestyle. Each one shows a different facet of God's dealing with the individual, pointing out how special and valuable each individual is to the God that made him or her, and encouraging the reader to rejoice and live in the good of this "special attention" from his or her Creator.
The illustrations are purposely "dated", being black and white images in the 1950's style. Thus they are "timeless" and ensure that the book, at least in its present edition, will not have to change because of changing styles, whether life styles, clothing, transportation, etc.
I have bought several copies of this book to give to teenagers with whom I am in contact.
