Have you ever just wanted a nice quick reference guide to see what god says about today's issues that we face, God's answers 4 Ur Life is that one book. As I was reading through the contents page, I noticed that it touches on every topic imaginable and ones that are so relating to our lives currently from the usual Alcohol, Abuse , Adultry, Envy, Prayer, Prophecy the ones that we read about in nearly every christian non-fiction released but including up-to-date ones like Bullying - which is such a huge thing in today's society, so big that it scares me and hurts like crazy as Im not sure if you are aware but just in the past week , an 8yr old girl in America wandered into the woods during a birthday party and hung herself , when I read this I was horrified, as come on- she was only 8 yrs old. It talks about Astrology as we all know many of us teenage girls and women are into our horoscopes be it the western world or Chinese. From topics and issues like Cutting- Self Mutilation to Eating Disorders e.g Anorexia and Bulimia , From Friends and Enemies to Gossip and Wicca/Witchcraft and what I found very interesting and is the excerpt that I'd like to share is that we are currently in a society that is being over-run with Vampires in literature, movies , and in some parts of the world it is becoming a huge subculture as reading last week's NZ Herald, two YA in Wellington were jailed due to an Vampiric like attack they played on somebody. What Is this world coming to ?
Each Issue comes with an article about the issue and to support it with verses from the Bible:
App: Vampires are a pop culture phenomenon. Real or fantasy, there're people who've bought into this way of life and developed a morbid taste for blood. They're not like Hollywood's Dracula or Edward. These people have been deceived into believing that they've been changed and now possess immortality and supernatural powers. They believe they have a capacity to absorb, channel, and manipulate "pranic energy" (life force). Vampire beliefs are really about power and searching for it from a source other than God. It's important to guard against the blurring of fantasy and reality that becomes hard to distinguish in real life. The word vampire is never mentioned in the Bible. But God does talk a lot about blood and power. Blood is sacred to God, and the devil is perverting its meaning and importance, deceiving some people into thinking that by drinking blood they can get power. Only the living God can give us the power we need.
Are vampires nibbling away at your time, energy, and passion? There's nothing wrong with fantasy unless you become so consumed with it that you're having trouble in the real world with real people. How about your relationship with Jesus? Has it taken a backseat to Bella, Edward, and Jacob? Think about the amazing unconditional love and ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for you.
"If any one of the house of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn among them eats any blood, I will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people. For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life. Therefore I have said to the people of Israel, No person among you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger who sojourns among you eat blood. Any one also of the people of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn among them, who takes in hunting any beast or bird that may be eaten shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth. For the life of every creature is its blood: its blood is its life. Therefore I have said to the people of Israel, You shall not eat the blood of any creature, for the
life of every creature is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off."
Leviticus 17:10-14 esv
"Since they shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets, you have given them blood to drink. It is their just reward."
Revelation 16:6 nlt
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.
1 Corinthians 10:21 esv
