Now he wants to share his pursuit with the rest of us. Will's message is straightforward: anyone can be used by God in remarkable ways, if they will only jump out of their comfort zones, dream His best for their lives, and run like the wind with the individualized anointing that His Spirit sends.
In short, if they will only pursue the Pursuer and find their place in His big story.

A few years later, Will came back to serve me in my ministry Global Awakening, ultimately becoming my first Associate Evangelist. Once again, Will has been called to the side of Rolland and Heidi Baker to help lead the Iris movement. Since Will is my spiritual son, I had heard many of his stories and had encouraged him to write them down.

GodRunner is a non-fiction book written by missionary Will Hart. Will tells his story of coming to the Lord and about his missionary work. Will was the son of hippies. His mother became saved from listening to the radio. She was filled by the Holy Spirit and the family thought she had gone crazy. Even though his father was at times scared of the situation, he decided the family would follow her. When Will was a senior in high school, he became saved and decided to be a missionary instead of going to college. This is a book of places he's been, people he has saved, as well as his family life.
Some of the points he makes in this book are to go out and do what the Spirt wants you to do. You do not have to leave the country, you can be used by God right where you are, in what ever you are doing. We are to take every opportunity God gives us to work with others. God created us in love and he will never stop loving us. God is seeking us and pursuing us. He seeks us when we are least expecting it and sometimes that makes us uncomfortable. But sometimes God has to take us to our lowest point to restore us and rediret us.
While this book is not what I expected, it is very well written and has good points in it. I especially liked the parts in the book where the author talks about his young life and his mother's personality. I typically do not read auto-biographies, and at times it felt that this is what the book is. I did however, think he did a good job of describing what a missionary family's life it like. While not going into detail, he did show the sacrifices the entire family had to make. I am giving this book a 4, only because of the auto-biography feel.

mainelymom5 Stars Out Of 5Great, challenging book!February 14, 2017mainelymomQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a book I will read again! Don't we all want to know where our place is in God's Big Story? Just the chapter titles alone make you want to read Will's story: "Pursue the Pursuer" and "What is Impartation?" and "When You Wonder If It's Worth It?" just to name a few. In telling his story Will is daringly honest and you realize that he really is just an ordinary guy doing extraordinary things because he is yielded to the Holy Spirit and willing to step out and take risks. From ministering in South Africa to working with Randy Clark to moving to Mozambique to minister with Rolland and Heidi Baker, Will shares truths with us that will work anywhere. He says, "The love and light that's inside you triumphs over darkness every time. Even if you're not called to charge into the darkest places on a daily basis, what you have inside you cancels out the darkness that you find around you. As His beloved, you are a carrier of His light. Darkness flees wherever you go." Reading his story has given me courage that God really does takes us as we are and transforms us into His person, a member of His body. God's just waiting for me to be willing.

Melissa5 Stars Out Of 5A wake-up call for your spiritJanuary 4, 2017MelissaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I needed this book. It has awoken something in me that has fallen asleep. This book was a deep reminder of God's great love and power that live in me and how I can change the atmosphere around me through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Will shares some crazy stories but I have to believe they are true. He shares things that I have not seen yet but I know I can see.
I really appreciated how Will shared about even low times in his life when he didn't feel like he was doing anything for God and how he eventually surrendered himself and God did some amazing things.
If you are looking for a wake-up call in your spirit I think this book will do it.
