This book received the most rave reviews of all given at our Womens Events. Ladies at all levels of their Christian journey loved it. Many asked after they had begun reading it if any were left so they could give to others. It is a great start to each day, keeping you aware and grateful for all God is, does and how He provides for us.

Want to live a life of awe, aware of the wonders that surround you? Have you ever only appreciated something when it was gone? This devotional wants to change that. See the marvels around you, and let them influence every part of your life.

The forty items in this attractive, hard-backed book will expose you to awesome circumstances that occurred in the Bible. For instance, remember when John heard from the Lord while on the Isle of Patmos? Think of how amazing that encounter was, along with the information that he was given. Or consider the jaw-dropping birth of a King in Bethlehem that caused a star to change in heaven, and brought three Wise Men from far away to seek Him out.

Let the majesty of God and all He has done be the biggest influence on you. When you choose things on social media and other secular sources to sway you, you fill drained, and sometimes sad. But your body and soul will be refreshed and joyful when you purposely think about the wonders of God, especially as you read His word.

This five-star book can easily fit in your purse or pocket where you can pull it out to be reminded of the stunning occurrences that have, and will continue, to take place with the Lord. Look for the marvelous in all situations, expect the miraculous. I recommend this to anyone who has ever longed to be uplifted.

Chosen Books gave Tickmenot a book copy to review. Opinions are my own.

I was excited to read this book based on its back cover description. I believe that most adults have lost their sense of awe and wonder for not only the simple beautiful things in life but also for God.

Blatchford created this devotional with forty days of unique insights that will create an awe and a wonder of God. The ultimate goal is that the awe and wonder found throughout these forty days would continue as a natural response to our daily lives in this world.

I enjoyed a majority of the devotionals. They are structured as follows:

    - Begins with a scripture reference

    - Blatchford's insights and thoughts on the scripture and its applicability to our lives

    - Imagine It - questions to really consider the awe and wonder of God in the specific scripture

    - Prayer

    - Look Up - brief encouragement for the day

    - Quote

A few titles for her daily devotionals including the following:

    - An invitation to come up

    - Revelation in wonder

    - Bushwhacked by God

    - Breathless, Beholding the beauty

    - amazing faith

    - off the hook

Blatchford does a good job of providing additional insight into the scripture and asking questions that really get you thinking about your ability to capture awe and wonder.

BIG DISCLAIMER: Blatchford is a pastoral counselor at Bethel Church and unfortunately this church has many teachings that are blatantly unbiblical. I hesitate to endorse this book because of it despite the fact that what she writes seems to be doctrinally and theologically sound within the book itself.

i received a copy of this book from Baker Publishing Group in exchange for an honest review.
