Carl F. H. Henry (1913-2003) was widely considered one of the foremost evangelical theologians of the twentieth century. He was the founding editor of Christianity Today, the chairman of the World Congress on Evangelism in Berlin in 1966, and the program chairman for the Jerusalem Conference on Biblical Prophecy in 1970. Henry taught or lectured on Americas most prestigious campuses and in countries on every continent, and penned more than twenty volumes, including The Uneasy Conscience of Modern Fundamentalism (1948), Evangelicals at the Brink of Crisis (1967), and the monumental six-volume work, God, Revelation, and Authority (19761983).

Egon Speneder5 Stars Out Of 5October 27, 2009Egon SpenederI recently bought the paperback 6 vol. set to take with me and leave at the Cottage. I also have the Hardcover set. I remember personally meeting him in the mid 1980's at a Seminary in Vancouver. I would have to say that he was probably the most profound individual I have ever met. This is no easy read, but if you are interested in a thorough and deep analysis of "the crisis of truth and word in contemporary Western life", the various philosophies that have attacked Christianity, just to name a few topics covered, Henry addresses all of this masterfully. This series will stretch your mind and feed your soul, make no mistake about it, if you can work your way through these 6 volumes then you are no slouch.
