Publisher's Description

Would you like a dynamic way to introduce the children you love to God? Children are born with a desire to know their Creator. They are also curiously seeking to make sense of their world, before they can even speak. “Who Is God” provides an opportunity for parents to create an environment where God is known, worshipped and adored from birth. However, this book doesn’t stop with first impressions. It is designed with continuously deeper levels of growth by teaching the child to learn by asking questions, share conversations with the reader and eventually develop the ability to speak his own beliefs!

Tell us a little about yourself.  It has been my privilege to be a life-long teacher. teacher trainer and parent educator who is excited about learning! Guiding children to learn with excellence while nurturing fine and noble human beings have been my delight. After becoming a widow, I met this wonderful man named Bob. He knew I was struggling with some overwhelming problems. One day he looked at me and said, "If you could learn to ask the right questions, you would find the solutions you are looking for. May I help you ask those questions?" Bob was an engineer and taught me the value of learning and leading by asking questions. By the way, he asked me the "right question" and we began working together to create a curriculum for inquiry-based learning. It has completely changed the way I teach, and I hope it will benefit others.

What was your motivation behind this project?  While Bob and I worked on writing our book about inquiry-based learning and problem solving, we kept feeling a nudge from God to put Him first. As we encountered some roadblocks, we turned to God and asked what He would like us to do with our hearts and hands and voices. The answer was that we should write a children's book that put Him first. After that prayer, I turned around to my computer and poured my heart out for about 2 hrs. Thanks to the leading of the Holy Spirit, this book was born!

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  "Who Is God? has an unusual feature. It begins with a letter to parents, teachers, and reading buddies. It outlines the importance of creating an environment where God is known, worshipped, and adored from birth. We realized that many parents would like to introduce their children to God, but don't know the words to say. We use questions throughout the book to spark curiosity, which ignites the desire to learn. This book is also designed to grow with the child and develop deeper levels of learning as they learn by asking questions, share conversations with the reader, and eventually develop the ability to speak their own beliefs.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  This writing project drew us nearer to God and created a greater reliance on Him to guide our thinking.
