Tell us a little about yourself. My writing is a gift I discovered and fell in love with when I was eight years old. After becoming a young mom of three wonderful daughters, I eventually got back to writing and spent nearly 20 years in the greeting card industry. During that time I began writing children's books and knew it's where I belonged. At heart, I'm not far from the little ones I write for. I love picture books, riding my bicycle, being perpetually curious, and living with a carefree spirit. I love Jesus and want every soul to know He's the best friend and brightest love in the whole wide world and beyond.
What was your motivation behind this project? The idea for this book came from my love of the truth, "Since earliest times men have seen the earth and sky and all God made, and have known of His existence and great eternal power." {Romans 1:20} The concept came by way of my daily, deep appreciation for God's creation and the belief that He is in all that we see.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? My hope and prayer is that everyone who reads this book will be reminded that not all our senses have to be
engaged for something to be real or true. God is in every created thing and in every act of love.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? There are times when the Holy Spirit gives inspiration and we simply put God's gift in motion. The writing of this book was one of those times for me. When the idea began taking shape in my heart and mind, I cried because I knew His love was coming through to express what I believe without doubt--God is real and His clearest reflection is in the love we give.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My favorite and most inspiring authors are C.S. Lewis, Oswald Chambers, A.A. Milne, Eugene Fields, Robert Louis Stevenson, Shel Silverstein, and Theodor Geisel. I'm a grown up who loves the idea of never growing old!
