Skye has spent his entire life dealing with abandonment issues. But as an adult, he’s finally happy. . . until the day he gets a call from a lawyer saying his hippie mother, Hannie, is in a coma. When Skye shows up on Hannie’s alpaca ranch as the surprised and hostile heir apparent, Ruthanne struggles to believe that her wonderful employer could be the same woman who caused the pain in Skye’s eyes.
Will Skye and Ruthanne allow their unforgiveness to keep them bound and unfulfilled, or will God use a strange situation to heal their past hurts and anger?
Kathleen E. Kovach and her husband Jim raised two sons while living the nomadic lifestyle for over twenty years in the Air Force. She's a grandmother, though much too young for that. Now firmly planted in Colorado, she's a member of American Christian Fiction Writers, and leads a local writers group. Kathleen hopes her readers will giggle through her books while learning the spiritual truths God has placed there.

But its size did not detract from the basic premise that "God does truly use ALL things for our good." As we go through life it is so important that we face all of our past hurts and deal with them, instead of running from them. It takes pain to bring healing to we humans, much as a surgeon must open and "clean out" the bad so that the body can heal and be well again. That is how that God does to bring healing emotionally to us. He puts us into a corner sometimes so we have to deal with our issues.
