Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I'm a screen printer for a company called J.N White Precision Answers in Perry, NY, and when I'm not doing that, doing online studies for Christ for the Nations Institute, or volunteering as a member of the Castile United Church of Christ, I am writing books. This is my fourth work, with the first three being Stories of the Old Testament, Stories of the Old Testament: Savior Needed and King of Kings, Rebel of Rebels: The Savior's Story.

What was your motivation behind this project?  I actually was under a great deal of stress at the time, wondering if I should stay in New York, move on campus to the CFNI headquarters in Dallas, or see if I could make a relationship happen with this one girl from San Antonio, so I chose to take some vacation time from my job, but before I did, I had a dream of staying in a certain hotel. Well, I am willing to answer questions on the details of that, but every detail of that dream came true when I took that vacation, and along the way, I became more drawn to doing a book on Acts from getting back to reading The Greatest Faith Ever Know by Fulton Ousler.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  My goal for Glory Spirit: Apostles Carrying the Story is for the readers of the book to gain a better understanding of how the events in the book of Acts may have unfolded, see the various struggles the characters went through, and be wetting their appetite for more once they see the cliffhanger at the end referring to a future event.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  The biggest thing I learned was to let the Lord direct my steps, based on Proverbs 16:9. I know this is a challenge for me, because I have a tough time trusting others, especially after the times after being burned by some. But seeing how the Lord directed me to writing this work, while I still have some work to do in this area, I do now realize that I need to trust in the Lord to handle things.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I mentioned about Fulton Ousler's work The Greatest Faith Ever Known, but I will say some of my CFNI instructors had an influence as well, whether it be Adam McCain's course on Acts, the studying of worship under Lamar Boschman, Terry Kinard's courses on the Prison Epistles and the Corinthian letters, or New Testament Survey by Gabriel Castagno, these instructors had a tremendous impact on the work.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  The first portion of the book title, and the most bold, Glory Spirit, was actually my mom's idea before she passed. I was thinking for something with the acronym for Acts at the time, when my mom asked me, "Why not call it Glory Spirit"? I thought about it, and decided it would go well with my acronym idea afterwards.
