Working through this book with our pastor really helped us learn new things about each other and even changed our perspective in key areas. We enjoyed working through the book together and found it to be such a blessing in helping us understand each other better as well as work through conflicts effectively when they arised.

Tell us a little about yourself. My wife, Rinda, and I have been married for 23 years now. We have three children 20, 18 and 13. We live in Franklin, Tennessee where I am an Associate Pastor with Christ Community Church.
What was your motivation behind this project? I have done premarital counseling with a number of couples from our church. I wrote up some material to help couples interact with the Scriptures and one another before we would meet to discuss various aspects of their future marriage. As I was using this for couples they would give me unput on the material to help imporve the questions and better lead the discussion. After using this with over 100 couples, my Senior Pastor, Scotty Smith, encouraged me to see if someone would publish this material.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I want to help couples prepare for thier marriage. I have never seen a good wedding hold a marriage together! I hope that it is helpful to assist pastors in providing a structure for the premarital counseling they do with couples.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I am influenced by C.S. Lewis, Michael Card, Willima Lane, George Grant, Scotty Smith, Steve Green, Steven Curtis Chapman, Charlie Ashworth, Jars of Clay, D.C. Talk, and John Stott (to name a few).
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Spend more time preparing for your marriage than you do in planning your wedding! A wedding is a weekend whereas a marriage should be a lifetime.
