Product Description

The Jewish Publication Society's Torah Commentary is a scholarly analysis of the Old Testament. This volume on Genesis by Nahum Sarna begins with an introductory article which discusses the title, structure and some of the contents of the book. The commentary itself is an in-depth analysis of Genesis with the Hebrew text given alongside its translation. A good work for the Old Testament scholar.

The book was great in reading this persons point of view. Reading right to left was a experience, I enjoyed. I learned Hebrew words, but not their way of writing. So I have a whole new list of words to learn & know, pronounce not so much. The information/opinion was good to know. So don't hesitate to buy this book. You will learn and come away thinking. There are chapter/verse backup to look for yourself. Your bible may not match theirs, look up the things he quotes & where he gets his information. The price was on the high side, but worth every penny.
