Generous Love: Discover The Joy Of Living Others First, written by Becky Kopitzke, published by Bethany House, is a book that gives, A Fresh, Down-to-Earth look at Living and Loving Well.

If asked, most people would admit that they want to make a difference within this world, to change the lives of others, to love and live generously, but life doesnt always allow this desire to come to fruition. Through this publication, pulling from her life experiences, Becky Kopitzke shows her readers how to get through all of lifes circumstances and discover the courage to live in and through the love of Christ with each passing moment while impacting the lives of others.

Beckys unique approach to this topic is seen in her presentation of what she calls the four Ps: Presence, Possessions, Perspective and Prayer. These four Ps are used to demonstrate how we can enter into someones life and bring forth an impact on them for the glory of God.

This book has the ability to change the way we enter into and effect the lives of others, thus it is a recommended purchase.

Loaded with stories, Bible verses, and practical tips, Beck Kopitzke challenges us to generously love others. She discusses what a blessing is, why we should bless others, and how to bless. She breaks open the reasons why we don't (or think we can't) bless others, and challenges us to love like God does, even when it is hard or we seem to receive no response. Lists of "50 Ways to Bless With Your [Presence, Possessions, Perspective, and Prayers]" ensure that no one can walk away from the book without some idea of how they could bless others. Kopitzke's writing style is casual and chatty, making this a fun and easy read.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher (Bethany House) in exchange for my review.

Christians are to reach out to those around them and be a blessing to a world in need. However, often we don't know how, or we make every excuse as to why we can't bless others. Kopitzke gives the Christian practical tips and advice on how to effectively bless others even when you think you don't have the means to do so. Through blessing others, you, yourself, will be blessed in return.

I learned so much through this book, and at times it downright convicted me. How many times have I said, well I can't bless that person God because I just don't have the money right now? I can't talk to that person because look at them, someone might see. I can't invite so-and-so over because my house isn't nice enough, and on and on it goes. But when if I would listen to those promptings from God, I would not only be a blessing to someone who might need it, but I would be blessed for listening to what God led me to do. I really enjoyed the "4 P's of Blessing" she talks about and each had 50 ideas to implement each one. (Blessing through our Presence, Perspective, Possessions, and Prayer) Overall, this book challenged me to stop being so selfish, and bless those around me, take notice of those I come in contact with. It could simply be a smile or a compliment, even little blessings can make a big impact on others. I highly recommend this book for Christians everywhere; imagine if we all started to bless others not for what we can get out of it, but just to live out the love of Jesus, how different our world might look!

I decided to read Becky Kopitzke's new book Generous Love.

I am so glad I did. What a blessing this book has been. Now I think that this book will hit everyone a little differently. For me is was bringing me back to just the simplicity of serving. The one on one with people.

This book was challenging and humbling. There is so much I loved. Every chapter had discussion questions. But even further than that were examples of how to help and Bible reading challenges.

But even cooler than that was the fact that in her writing there is so much scripture incorporated. Almost every page had some sort of scripture reference. I LOVED that.

If you are wondering why you should serve, read this book. If your wondering how to serve when it is hard, read this book. It seriously could just be something as simple as giving someone a hug.

I received this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
