I have always had difficulty holding on to justification by the law and works. This Commentary by Luther was the best thing for my spiritual life. Reading this took a great burden off of my shoulders. Luther is relentless at making you understand Justification by Faith. This book changed my life. Highly recommended for the troubled conscience.

I would never have thought that 78 pages just on Chapter 3 alone would hold my attention and keep me reading! (That's just where I happened to start for some reason.) Finished Chapter 5 this weekend. He refers to stuff all over the Bible. Very interesting. Great commentary about people and life from his perspective too. The German people overlooked all this and went for Hitler, so what's next for us, I shudder to think...

I love the depth that Martin goes into. I have found his inspiration a comfort to me as I studied the verse by verse. He also breaks down the verses into sentences and gives detail information. I have had questions for years and as I read this Commentary I have gotten answers to my questions. McGee is wonderful and concise where Martin is deep.Esther Mae:

The author does an excellant presentation and requirement of justification in your Christian walk. We are all too critical of our selves, and as a result, slide back into LAW.
