In Galatians: Breakaway to Freedom, you will journey through Paul's book of freedom with today's most popular musicians as your guide. This six-week study will take you verse-by-verse through the book of Galatians while highlighting a different secular artist each week.
Learn how "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson parallels the life of the apostle Paul during his pursuit of spiritual freedom. Be challenged to breakaway to freedom with the assistance of legendary band, U2. Discover how to breakaway from doubt with the help of Christ Martin of Coldplay. Be empowered to breakaway from the ordinary through the song, "Anything but Ordinary" by Avril Lavigne. be inspired to breakaway from legalism through the life story of country music star, Tim McGraw. And in the end, the life-changing words of Galatians will not only offer you freedom, they will enable you to understand how liberty in Christ affords us glimpses of God in the most unusual places.
SARA L.HOWELL has a special calling to serve women. years ago, Sara become enamored with Song of Solomon 4:9, "You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes." It was through this scripture she realized for the first time that she was a "heart stealer". This verse has inspired her to write books for women in the heart Stealers Bible Studies series for AMG Publisher. In 1995, Sarah was caught stealing again. This time, she stole the heart of her husband, Sonny Howell. Sarah and Sonny reside in Columbus , Georgia, with their three young daughters: Lauren, Abby, and Leah
"Sarah Howell writes in the authentic voice of someone in touch with God as well as her contemporary generation."

Allison Murphy5 Stars Out Of 5November 17, 2009Allison MurphyMy co-leader and I totally underestimated this study, and floundered about the first week or two trying get through the depth of the week's week's study into our hour and a half meeting... it was fantastic stuff! Our group is made up of women from age 28-66, and each of us were incredibly blessed by its content. Howell's study puts Galatians in the context of Paul's story, while also giving you a broad picture of the story of the Lord- a highly contextual study, which again, we completely underestimated its richness. The prayers that are included after each day are beautiful and simple- we ended up reading them together out loud every week. Don't blow past this book thinking it won't speak to you- the other two groups in our small group ministry are doing this study for our winter season while we crank up Ephesians, and I'd totally recommend it to anyone, hands down.
Marcie5 Stars Out Of 5June 30, 2008MarcieMs. Howell is both a gifted writer and a true student of the Word. She clearly articulates scripture in a uniquely captivating way, and I thoroughly enjoy her books. Her newest, Ephesians ~ Finding True Love, is as masterfully written as Galatians. Both are scripturally sound works that leave the reader better able to live an overcoming life. I highly recommend Galatians as a great read!
Karen Sage1 Stars Out Of 5January 19, 2008Karen SageThis book starts out very good. But, about midway through the book Sarah takes the bible out of context stating that we are commanded by God to love ourselves. Matt. 22:37-39. This is not a command to love ourselves and comments like these will lead younger Christians to believe they cannot love others if they don't love themselves. God's word states all throughout, the dangers of self-love. We are to imitate Christ and none of His attributes are self-love. Christ was all about selflessness and esteeming others better than himself. I recommend that anyone reading this book do a thorough study of the scriptures on this issue. Sarah has some very good thoughts and makes some very good points but this statement damages the entire book I am afraid. I would not recommend this book.
