Frontiers in Writing Student Book

IEW’s Frontiers in Writing incorporates engaging, theme-based subject matter with practical essay writing instruction.  Using topics such as Halley’s Comet, the Wild West, the Mars Landing, and more, your student will learn to write the IEW way: with understandable and achievable structure and creative style. This Grade 5 level Student Book contains 30 lessons in nine units. Each lesson has instructions, one or more source texts, worksheets, assignment checklists, and vocabulary practices and quizzes. Also included are a scope and sequence chart to keep your student on track and helpful appendices for literature suggestions, essay writing mechanics, and vocabulary. The Teacher’s Manual (sold separately) and an instructor who is learning or proficient in the Institute for Excellence in Writing’s Teaching Writing: Structure and Style video course (not included) are required. 280 pages, spiral-bound softcover.
