Tell us a little about yourself. Hi my name is Mary Helen Lopez, I was born in Victorville, California. While still in trauma from the suicide of my Dad we moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where I was surrounded in a neighborhood with people who were not happy with me, because I was the new kid on the block, and honestly this is where most of the sorrows of my life started, I began to depend on control substances at a incredibly young age. It took many years because of my stubbornness and ignorance of addiction that I came close to losing my life. I surrendered my life to Jesus going on 11 years now.Today I am the author of "From Sorrows To Glory," a book of hope.
What was your motivation behind this project? My motivation is to reach out to those who have exhausted their search for answers on finding a way of escape from a bondage that is out of their control.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I pray that those who are in need of freedom will gain a deeper perspective from this book and experience a way of life that they have longed for and have not been able to reach.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I was personally impacted to work on this book because of my own acknowledgement and admission of living a life that I myself could not escape. I found myself in deep despair; in a whirlwind of condemnation, worthlessness and sorrows.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I was inspired and influenced by the Holy Spirit to write "From Sorrows To Glory."
