Publisher's Description

With secular mindsets filling today's college campuses, it's more of a time than ever to be countercultural with a Biblical mindset. College can either be a time of growth in your faith, drawing closer to Jesus, or a time of confusion and weakening of faith. In Freshman Reorientation, author Jaclyn D. Riley offers a guide to help you navigate the spiritual battleground of the college campus.

She gives practical recommendations on how to share and grow your faith in college and provides information and advice about:

choosing a college;
developing a firm foundation in your faith;
learning to pray;
reading the Bible;
being a witness; and
becoming a transformer.

Freshman Reorientation reminds you not to let college tamper your love for the Lord. Use it as a time to draw closer to the Lord. Learn how to equip yourself daily to thrive in college and build an unwavering faith and trust in Jesus knowing God is with you every step of the way.

    Tell us a little about yourself.  Jaclyn D. Riley lives in Southern California with her husband. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and is currently getting her master's in Christian apologetics. She is a fourth-grade teacher.

    What was your motivation behind this project?  As I was attending a secular college my faith was constantly being tested and challenged. Through a firm faith in the Lord I did not conform to the secular mindset on the campus. I was able to leave college stronger in my faith than when I went in. I wrote this book to help others do the same, providing practical ways to lean on the Lord and build an unwavering faith in college.

    What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  You will be challenged in college, your faith will be tested, and you may feel alone. You are not alone. God is with you every step of the way. He loves you so much that He sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for your sins.

    Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  Today's college campuses are filled with people who say the Bible is a fairytale, God isn't real, and they don't need Jesus. As such, approximately 70% of students that claim to be Christians before college will leave without their faith at the end of college. It's time to change that statistic and leave college with a stronger faith than you went in with.
