What every believer should know about this beautiful new life. We can be restored from a broken life. We can be personally improved but perfection is not humanly possible. We are called to be healers and workers in faith. Are we healing people with our hands or hurting them? God's most effective signs of His existence are through human beings who allow themselves to be manifested in God. There is a field of harvest waiting to be yielded by believers or will the lost harvest be winnowed like chaff on the threshing floor. Faith needs believers who take action through compassion not hypocrites who masquerade as believers. There are people who are hurting, who need love by encouraging words and helping hands. If we are truly set free as believers those who are in darkness will be drawn to our light and our joy and they will ask us where does our light and joy come from. What will we tell them?

Tell us a little about yourself. I am a first time published writer. It took five years to complete this book,my first project. My present writing project is currently titled "Heart and Soul; The American volunteer firefighter, your next door neighbor.
What was your motivation behind this project? Set Free is based on my own life and how my life changed when I gave Christ the reigns of my life. Trials and testing are a vital part of the Christian life to prepare us for the Great Reunion where every tear will be wiped away by our Lord and Savior.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Our faith will be tested, we may go through character building trials that we are not prepared for if we are not in His Word. No matter what fiery trial or challenge we are put through we will survive and thrive because we are in Christ and we are fed by His Word! If God is for us who can be against us. non-believers are watching us and asking "The fire(spiritually speaking) surrounds them, yet they rejoice. How do they do it?" Who they don't see is The Lord our God who is in us.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Every topic I wrote I deeply researched the Bible. Every revision I wrote drew me closer to the Bible, even more than attending church. The writing was that intense and exciting. I learned more about God that I didn't know and I learned things about myself I didn't know.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? No one else knew I was writing until my book became public in January of 2013. My family was astonished to learn that I'm a writer and we have an author in the family. I'm praying that my family is touched by my book, I grew up on religion not faith and grace. I relied on audio by the late great Zig Ziglar. Also my pastor's inspiring Sunday messages seemed to reflect the supportive words I needed to hear even though they to were unaware of the budding writer in me.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Set Free opened the door to other exciting writing projects; Heart and Soul; The Vol firefighter as I mentioned before and Runaway; the story of a broken family and a young girls's persuit of fatherly love.
