Tell us a little about yourself. Chad Foster is an adjunct professor at Trinity
College and Seminary and also pastor of Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Murray, KY where he hosts a
weekly radio show. In addition to holding a
masters degree from Concordia Seminary and a
doctorate from Trinity Theological Seminary, Dr.
Foster has studied abroad at the International
Academy of Apologetics, Evangelism, and Human
Rights in Strasbourg, France. Dr. Foster also
holds membership in the Society of Biblical
Literature, the Near Eastern Archaeological
Society, the Evangelical Theological Society,
and the Evangelical Philosophical Society.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I wrote How Firm a Foundation to be a handbook
for three distinct groups. First, How Firm a
Foundation gives hope to the believer because it
clearly demonstrates that the Christian faith is
logically and reasonable. Second, the book can
encourage a seeker or someone who may have
certain issues that keep them from considering
more fully the claims of Christianity. Thirdly,
the book also challenges atheists and non-
believers who assert Christianity is just a myth
and that the New Testament is not historical nor
was it written by eyewitnesses.
How Firm a Foundation is an evidential defense
of the two main tenets of the Christian faith:
The reliability of the New Testament and the
resurrection of Jesus Christ. Using classic
literary, historical, and legal methods, it can
be shown that the foundations of the Christian
faith are reasonable, credible, reliable, and
above all trustworthy. Even more so, the
Christian faith does offer the best explanation
to the historical events of over 2,000 years
ago. This book offers strength and conviction
to the believer, encouragement and hope for the
seeker, and a challenge to the skeptic.

Warwick Montgomery, William Lane Craig, R.C.
Sproul, and C.S. Lewis.
