Breakthrough author Francis Chan rips away paper and bows to get at the true source of the church's powerthe Holy Spirit. Chan contends that we've ignored the Spirit for far too long, and we are reaping the disastrous results. Thorough scriptural support and compelling narrative form Chan's invitation to stop and remember the One we've forgotten, the Spirit of the living God.

Francis Chan writes about the power of the Holy Spirit in the lives of every Christ follower.
**Favourite lines in the book:
"... the Spirit is more obviously active in places where people are desperate for him, humbled before Him, and not distracted by their pursuit of wealth or comforts..."
** What I loved most about the book?
I have personally been rebuked by this book and it made me carefully consider whether or not I put my faith into action. I love that, after the end of each chapter, Francis Chan included testimonies of other believers who have dedicated their whole lives in obedience to the Word of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The testimonies really allowed me to understand each topic in a deeper sense - actions truly speak louder than words.
**Length of the Book: There are 7 chapters and about 15 pages to read per chapter.

Al5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent Book!!! Worth Reading Several Times!!!May 5, 2017AlQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5For years this book just sat on my bookshelf collecting dust, but when I finally picked it up and read it I instantly regretted not picking it up sooner. Wow!!! This book was revolutionary to me and my thinking of/on the Holy Spirit. So much so, that I bought some for our local Bible Study group. It has been amazing to watch them grow and have their eyes open to things that they've never considered before.
This is a very easy read, though for some people it may be a little heavy, and is full of some wonderful insight about the Holy Spirit. I especially love that the author doesn't come at the theology of the Holy Spirit from a denominational point of view, but from the view of what the Scriptures say.
This is a worth while book to get and have within your library!!!
NelliMalaga, WashingtonAge: Over 65Gender: female1 Stars Out Of 5Humm?November 16, 2015NelliMalaga, WashingtonAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0We bought this ebook for a Bible Study at our church. In looking it up before we purchased we were hesitant to buy but we decided to go ahead with the class. The underlying exegesis is lacking. Things seem to picked out of here and there and throw together into a book and Study Guide. It also seems to foster the notion that people are afraid of the Holy Spirit or some such. It is confusing and it is hard to grasp what the author is really trying to say about the Holy Spirit.
