Publisher's Description

"If your enemies are starving, feed them some bread; if they are thirsty, give them water to drink." Proverbs 24:17 (CEB)

There is nothing more crippling than holding on to anger. Anger, more than any other emotion, has the power to consume all aspects of our lives, distort our sense of purpose, and destroy our relationship with God.

In the passionate and life-changing book Forgiveness: Finding Peace Though Letting Go, bestselling author Adam Hamilton brings the same insight that he applied in the bestseller "Why?" to the challenge of forgiveness. Hamilton argues that revelation comes when we realize that forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves rather than to someone else. He also contends that only when we learn to forgive others and ourselves can we  truly receive forgiveness from God.

This review was written for Forgiveness: Finding Peace Through Letting Go.
The author brings wonderful reminders of the importance of forgiving others. This book is full of stories and personal examples of why forgiveness is so important. First and foremost we must forgive because when we dont it weighs on us with anger and bitterness. A common analogy that the author uses throughout the book is that of pebbles and boulders. When we dont forgive, the pebble grows and grows until it becomes a boulder and we cannot bear the weight. And each time that forgiveness is not given we collect another pebble and another and another until we finally wake up one day and discover that we cant cope anymore.

The only thing that bothered me was the fact that there is no scripture.

Also this is not a regular size book, it is considered a gift book and is about 160 pages.
