Tell us a little about yourself. I love studying God's Word through Bible studies with other women where we learn from our messes and see how much the Lord loves us when we lean on Him. I'm married with four children and five grandchildren.
What was your motivation behind this project? I'm a late bloomer because I didn't start writing until I was sixty years old. I embarked on this journey simply to write down the idioms I say in conversation but as I investigated their origin, because so many came from the Bible, the Lord laid on my heart to turn each one into a devotion.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope these devotions give each reader the desire to dig deeper into God's Word, to know who He is and know how much He loves us. As you read this book, I pray your faith will blossom and always bear His fruit of the Spirit through the power of the Holy Spirit.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? As I began to write, the more I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit guiding me through this project. Many nights I would wake up in the wee hours with a verse, story, or an idiom laying on my heart. I know these idiomatic devotions are a gift from the Lord.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I love Beth Moore Bible studies and sharing with other women life in the trenches of everyday life. One of the studies that really made me evaluate my life and ask what I was doing for the Lord was the Bible study "Rooted". This study propelled me to want to earnestly be God's servant.
