Take a trip to Narnia and learn advanced IEW writing skills along the way with Following Narnia Volume 2: Aslan's Country . Using Prince Caspian, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, and The Last Battle, students will develop more advanced writing skills and techniques. This course is designed to be used by an instructor who has been through the Teaching Writing: Structure and Style seminar and is familiar with IEW writing techniques, and students who have at least one year of experience with IEW.
The Student Book gives reading assignments from the novels, source texts on related topics, checklists, assignments, word lists, student samples, and more.
The Teacher's Manual is a necessary component of the course. Inset, reduced-size student pages are included with the correct answers overlaid. Notes for the teacher are provided in the margins surrounding the student pages; these include sample key word outlines, brainstorming ideas, answers to questions, review activities, and ideas for motivating students.
