Another favorite is Quiddler. It introduces questions like what are you doing when you yot or yote? Our whole family learned the answer to this and more, when someone had to defend their use of the word while playing this game. We encourage dictionary usage so you can share the definition of your words with your fellow players. With some help, even the very young can play . . . and win!
Jody2 Stars Out Of 5Disappoint it wasn't what was pictured.January 12, 2017JodyQuality: 2Value: 3Meets Expectations: 1I was excited when I saw these cards with the black outline on the yellow cards. Unfortunately the cards I received are the cheaper made cards the don't have the black outline and that makes the yellow cards VERY difficult to use for a couple of my friends with vision problems. This is not the first place to picture one version - but send a different product.

AnnieOH5 Stars Out Of 5didn't realize how much fun this game would beFebruary 9, 2013AnnieOHQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Excellent card game. Ranks in top 10 games I've ever played. Great family fun. Easy to learn. Easy to take on trips. I also like Cribbage, Trumpet, Uecker, Quarto, Gobblet, Ticket to Ride - if you like any of those then you'll probably enjoy this game. Object is to acquire runs of 3 or more and/or 3s of a kind or more, then be the first to "go out" with zero points. Total of 11 hands are dealt, start with a hand of 3 cards, and then goes up to 11 cards in the final round. There are jack "wild" cards. Each round also has additional wild cards that consists of the card number equal to the cards dealt - 3 cards dealt, then 3s are wild, 4 cards are dealt and 4s are wild - fun twist that keeps you on your toes. I hope I didn't make it sound more difficult than it is, because it's easy. Purchased as a birthday gift for my 7 year old, who picked it up quickly. Great for sharp 6 year olds and up. Highly recommend this game. Also prefer Christianbook.com for their price and order fulfillment accuracy.
Jeffrey Plourd5 Stars Out Of 5Fun to playFebruary 8, 2013Jeffrey PlourdQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5We have been passing the winter days with this game. Easy to learn and it usually comes down to the last round to determine a winner. Very good family game. Even the solitare version is great, but you need a large playing surface. Might play a few rounds in the crazy blizzard of '13. At least we won't need electricity to play, LOL
