Kimberly5 Stars Out Of 5Awesome curriculum!August 20, 2016KimberlyQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I am so grateful that I chose this curriculum! It's very simple to teach. My son who is a first grader looks forward to completing his lessons each day. I love the oral repeptition in each lesson. He is learning grammar with ease, and fun. My memory is being refrshed. It's so awesome that my kindergartner who listens while she plays now repeats grammar as we go over each lesson. I will have to purchase level 2 in a few months because doing a lesson a day doesn't last us a full school year. Thanks Susie for saving homeschool parents tears!

I have gone thru this book as a review with my son, we have worked thru it in a few weeks. I have been able to use the lessons for copy work and focus on writing skills and grammar. I will go thru the next few books till we are on grade level and his writing has improved.
WiconiLa Crosse, WisconisnAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Awesome!March 16, 2011WiconiLa Crosse, WisconisnAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I cannot speak highly enough of this book. It's written to be taught in ways that kids actually learn. It teaches english, technically, and age appropriately, along with memorization, and content skills seamlessly. For the life of me, I cannot understand why this isn't' used in schools. This is not a comprehensive language program, it teaches English grammar. If you have no reading comprehension program, you'll need more than this.
Ask a Question▼▲
Q: Do I need a separate writing program for this or do they cover enough for my child to learn to write well?
For level one, most of the work is in an oral format. Writing is introduced, mostly in the form of copywork. The writing companion to this is "Writing With Ease, Level 1".
Q: Regarding grade levels, is Level 1 considered Kindergarten, First or Second grade level? Are there any other materials needed to go with this book?
Level 1 is for first grade. No additional materials are required, but optional Audio Companion CDs are available (WW339498).
