Melanie3 Stars Out Of 5Excellent Curriculum, Book Falls ApartJune 17, 2016MelanieQuality: 3Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I would like to say first that I *do* recommend this product and have been very satisfied as far as content is concerned. I was nervous teaching Latin to my children when I had never studied it myself. We studied together despite my lack of experience and I think we all learned something. My complaint is in the quality of the actual physical book, which falls apart so easily. We are a large family and I like to buy items either new or in good shape so that they can be passed down through several students. I purchased three textbooks for myself and my older kids to share and it was all we could do to make the books last through the first year. If Memoria Press could address the quality of the textbook (all other materials held up fine), I would be 100% satisfied with this product. As it is, the content is so good, I'm willing to spend the money to replace these books.

The vocabulary is listed in a different order than the teacher guide and other textbook I received earlier this year from a different vender. There is no indication that that would be the case. It is still very workable.
Barbara Lawson5 Stars Out Of 5Good for those with no Latin backgroundOctober 29, 2010Barbara LawsonQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The text is understandable to me and my child. I've never had any experience with Latin, though I have with French. A great product.
Q: Where to start? I have 3 children - 2 in HS, 1 in MS. I want to teach them Latin for HS credit (and learn Latin myself), but I have no idea where to start. We have never taken Latin at all. Would First Form Latin be the one to start with, or should we start with Latina Christiana I?
This is specifically directed for grades 6-12 with no prior latin education. The Latina Christian I is generally used by younger students.
