Saddle Up for a Wildly Fun Ride
in Mary Connealy's Latest

Bailey Wilde is one of the best new ranchers in the West. She's been living disguised as a man for a while, but when Gage Coulter comes to drive her off her homestead, he quickly realizes he's dealing with a woman--a very tough, very intriguing woman at that.

Gage is an honest man, but he didn't make his fortune being weak. He won't break the law, but he'll push as hard as he can within it. Five thousand acres of his best range land is lost to him because Bailey's homestead is located right across the only suitable entrance to a canyon full of lush grass. Gage has to regain access to his land--and he's got to go through Bailey to do it.

Spending a winter alone has a way of making a person crave some human contact. In a moment of weakness, Bailey agrees to a wild plan Gage concocts. Can these two independent, life-toughened homesteaders loosen up enough to earn each other's respect--and maybe find love in
the process?

Fire and Ice by Mary Connealy is book three in the Wild at Heart Series. Set in Texas in the 1860s, this western novel brings mystery and entertainment in the story of Gage Coulter and Bailey Wilde. Gage relocated to Texas to escape the shame and resentment he faced back home when he did not fight in the war. Now a successful rancher, he needs to reclaim land and a lush valley that one of the Wildes has stolen as a homestead. The homestead blocks Gages access to the canyons lush grass. When they face off, Gage gets the surprise of his lifeBailey Wilde is not who he thought and that changes everything. Bailey is the solution to more than one of his problems.

Many surprises, twists, and suspense create an enjoyable romantic western that will delight fans of westerns. I received this book through TBCN in exchange for an honest review.

I've become a confirmed fan of Mary Connealy's over the last few years but I think Fire & Ice might hold the record for my fastest reading time of one of her books. I picked it up in the evening and couldn't put it down until I finished early, early, in the morning, or rather late that same night.

I've been looking forward to Bailey and Gage's story since the first book in the series, and, believe me, Fire & Ice did not disappoint.

Mary Connealy is a master at writing Christian westerns. There is always comedy, mystery, and plenty of cowboys and romance.

I truly enjoyed Fire & Ice but I'm sorry to see the end of crazy adventures of the Wilde sisters, though, this book did nicely sew up the loose ends, including solving the mystery of what happened to Bailey during the Civil War. Gosh, I had thought I had it figured out, but nope, Mary Connealy sure surprised me on that one.

I would recommend any of Mary Connealy's books, but definitely Fire & Ice and the entire Wild At Heart series.

(I received a copy of this book from Bethany House in exchange for my honest review. All opinion are entirely my own.)

I love books by Mary Connealy. There is always action, conflict and laughter. I read this book in one day. Was wishing I could just sit down and read without distractions. Alas, not in my family. This is the third and final book in the series "Wild at Heart" and it can be read as a stand alone. The author will catch you up on previous storylines in the first few chapters.

Of the three sisters Bailey is the oldest sister. Her other two sisters have married and left the farm and now Bailey has become lonesome. Then the troubles start with Gage who is furious that he no longer has direct access to his pasture land. He was shocked when he returned from the Civil War to find that the land he used to move his cattle across belongs to Bailey. Then the troubles start. I laughed out loud and my husband wanted to know what was so funny. When I told him he started laughing too. He has started reading the book. He is a slow reader & it might take him awhile.

I give five stars when a book touches my emotions, helps my faith grow , page turner, and makes me laugh. This book did all of that. I received this book through the Book Club Network, the author and publisher. All opinions are mine and mine alone. I was only asked to leave a honest opinion. Hope you love this book as much as I did. Mary Connealy is an author you will want to read more of her books.

Mary Connealy continues her great writing in the third book in her Wild at Heart series. Although part of the series, Fire and Ice is a stand alone book. Fire and Ice is the story of the oldest of the three Wilde sisters who were raised as boys by their widower father. Bailey Wilde is a well-written character who avoids people and wears pants so the neighbors think she is a man! I recommend Fire and Ice to others who enjoy western historical faction.

I won a copy of Fire and Ice through a Soul Inspirationz giveaway.
