K L5 Stars Out Of 5Great GiftOctober 30, 2020K LQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is the perfect size. Flipping through the hardcover, you can find engaging art and a wholesome message. I feel confident giving it as a gift. God and faith are not mentioned, so far as I could tell, but that's not a drawback. (I'm gifting this to a non-Christian family anyway). In America today, we have a shortage of good stories with good values, and I'm always looking for gems like this.

Maria has moved to a new town where her parents have encouraged her to play a new-to-her sport; soccer. After making a few mistakes, she is ready to give up . . . until Coaches Tony and Lauren convince her that finding the courage to try new things means having an opportunity to discover more favorite things.

Robin5 Stars Out Of 5Kids will connect with this bookAugust 7, 2018RobinQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0As a teacher, I am so excited to introduce this beautiful book to my 2nd grade class when school starts this year. I am always looking for books that encourage kids to try their best and to remember to be brave when it comes to learning from mistakes or trying something new. I was thrilled to receive an advance copy of this book and this is my honest opinion. I am proud to display it in my classroom as is beautifully and vibrantly illustrated, and written by a NFL coach and his wife (which is super special). Most importantly, the content of this book is very heartwarming because it will connect with so many kids who face a similar problem when faced with a new situation which may seem daunting at first. I believe hearing Marias story will give kids a little boost of confidence for the next time they face something difficult or different. Great book!
