In a culture that praises blending in over standing out, productivity over purpose, and noise over truth, many women find their God-given voice compromised, quieted, or even mocked. We all long to live out our divinely designed passions and unique talents, yet too often it becomes so much easier in the face of opposition to stay silent altogether. What if God is calling you to so much more?
As a working mom, wife, artist, and abolitionist, Natalie Grant has struggled to live on purpose while battling the worldly demands of keeping up the appearance of perfection. Emerging from her own dark spiral of suffocating inadequacy, Natalie found fresh hope in the truth that God has already given women everything they need to live out their God-given identity, passions, and calling. Finding Your Voice offers the heart-rallying, life-giving truth that a womans voice is not an uncalled for interference to be silenced, but a gift to be used for Gods Kingdom purposes. In voice lessons as in life, a strong vocal identity requires us to first stand firm, breath deep, and finally, go for itloud and clear.
With rich scriptural study and personal stories infusing every chapter, Finding Your Voice reveals how to discover your own unique talent, train it according to Gods Word, and start using it for the good of otherswithout guilt and apology.
Since her 2005 breakout RIAA Gold certified album Awaken, multi-Grammy nominated artist Natalie Grant has remained one of the top-selling Christian and Gospel artists with over 3 million in sales. The Gospel Music Association has named her the Female Vocalist of the Year five times, and she has had multiple songs and albums on the Billboard charts. More important than accolades, her passion is to help people across the globe discover their God-given calling and encourage them to live it out to the fullest potential. An outspoken advocate for victims of human trafficking, Grant cofounded Hope for Justice International a multinational organization that rescues and provides complete restorative care for victims of trafficking. Grant makes her home in Nashville, with her husband producer, and songwriter, Bernie Herms, and their three children: twins Grace and Bella and their youngest, Sadie. I love how Natalie has given us a glimpse into the music world, a peek into her own heart and story, and a vision for what it would look like to sing the song Gods given each of us to sing. Im already a fan and a friend of Natalies. Now Im happy to call myself a reader of hers as well.
We all have to go on a journey to find our voice; we have to resist the temptation to become an imitation and be willing to allow whats within to be heard. In this book my dearest friend shares from her beautiful heart how your voice not only needs to be heard but how it can become a voice for those who have none. Natalies honesty is refreshing, her message is liberating, and her passion is evident---to use her voice to help others find theirs. I am so grateful for the gift within these pages because when we all dare to find our voice, the world can begin to hear what freedom really sounds like.
In her book, Finding Your Voice, Natalie inspires us by vulnerably sharing her own personal struggles with pain, doubt, and insecurity. She also brilliantly challenges us to awaken our own voice and to live out the design and purpose Jesus has called us to. Natalie, ever so gently, invites us to join her in finding our song and singing it boldly!
Finding Your Voice shares an amazing reflection of how intimately God wants to connect with each of us. From her own personal journey of wrestling through pain and fear, Natalie shares how she came to the powerful realization that God has given each of us a unique voice for his glory. The voice that God gave you is powerful, it is precious, and it is enough!
You are precious, beloved by God, and have been given a song from him that only you can sing. In Finding Your Voice, Natalie will help you discover that song and so much more. Im so excited for you to read it!
Natalie has one of the most beautiful and compelling voices I have ever heard. She has pushed through many barriers to let it be heard, and now she teaches us how to do the same thing.
I have loved Natalie and her music for a long time. This new offering is an intimate look into her life and processes and pain that is not only interesting but also truly helpful for any woman looking to find her voice.
Natalie has touched a generation. She radiates hope, strength, and faith. We who have been blessed by her songs are now blessed to read her book.
I learned long ago that finding your voice does not mean learning how to sing. Its so much more and so much deeper than that. From someone who took the long way to find her voice, I am so proud of Natalie, my dear sister-friend, in how she has bravely walked the path of freedom in finding her voice. Shes certainly helped me find mine throughout the years of our friendship, and I know she will help you find yours through this new book.
CDecker3 Stars Out Of 5I have been a fan of Natalies music and now am a fan of her writing too.January 17, 2017CDeckerQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5In Finding Your Voice: What Every Woman Needs To Live Her God-Given Passions Out Loud, Natalie gives us a peak into her life, the successes and struggles, the pleasures and pains, the insecurities and ultimately the invitation from the Lord to have a voice for the voiceless. We often think an artist like Natalie Grant, who is at the top of the Christian music charts, would have already be living out her destiny, but this book shows us God had an even bigger voice planned for Natalie and he has one for us too. Natalie beautifully weaves truth from Scripture with how to steward our gifts and to embrace our destiny.
I have been a fan of Natalies music and now am a fan of her writing too. I found myself in her journey, how God has had to [yank} the reigns from my over-zealous hands too. Natalie is very transparency into her struggles of trying to honor God with her work but finding it had also consumed her that she had forgotten how to listen. She was too busy to hear his voice. This realization resonates with so many of us. She inspires us to embrace the times God interrupts our life to listen more deeply to his heart and his plans for us.
