Miriam Jacob5 Stars Out Of 5Finding Lady Enderly - Joanna Davidson PolitanoSeptember 20, 2019Miriam JacobQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5"Finding Lady Enderly" by award-winning author, Joanna Davidson Politano is a splendid, endearing tale of whimsy, intrigue, danger and love, that cleverly captures the colorful, exquisite details in ordinary, humdrum, day-to-day lives, highlighting random acts of kindness, compassion and care. The beautiful heroine, Raina, is a true vision of loveliness, with a vein of gold coursing through her veins, born with a lively, spirited imagination, noble and respectable in character though in dire financial straits. Raina wrestles with two identities Lady Enderly's and her own. It leads us all to ponder our own identities and who we really are at heart. This is a classic novel of the romantic mystery of a misplaced heroine, on a compelling, spellbound journey into the world of ancestral inheritance. It explores the innocent, heartfelt loyalty of love. In a deeply-moving, dramatic story-within-a-story, full of puzzling Victorian intrigue, Joanna Davidson Politano skillfully combines the elements of romance and mystery to create a melodramatic plot twist to keep you captivated and spellbound until the loose ends of the mystery are all wrapped up. I highly recommend this awesome book by an extremely gifted and talented author.

Then there was the romance, always at the forefront but yet at times fleeing and so far away. Usually not my genre of reading, I never once lost interest and was hooked from the first page.
Raina had a Godly conscience and that gave her doubts about what she was doing. She made mistakes but she admitted to them, so she remained my favorite character throughout.
The mystery remained a mystery to me for a very long time. Riddles came and went about who "she" really was, keeping me in suspense.
A rags to riches story that kept me turning the pages. What a great, great historical read!
This book was given to me by Revell. All opinions are my own
grammy4 Stars Out Of 5GreatAugust 29, 2019grammyQuality: 4Meets Expectations: 5This was an advanced reader copy so I am hoping that it will receive another editing. There were a few errors that stuck out but did not detract from the story or reading much, though a bit. The layout on my Kindle was also annoying as the first letter of every chapter was out of place and partially covered words.
But, I totally enjoyed the story. It was well written and flowed very well. The main characters were very well developed. The story was partial romance and partial mystery set in the 1800s. This is also a Christian book. It is not at all preachy but shows how ignoring God can/will affect your life.
The story wasn't actually believable nor was it totally unbelievable and that was part of the joy of reading it.
I have never read a book by Joanna Davidson Politano before, but I look forward to reading more from her.
I gave the book 4 out of 5 stars, deducting one star for editing which I hope will be corrected.
Sandra Burson4 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful ReadAugust 22, 2019Sandra BursonQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Fans of Christian historical romance will not be disappointed with Joanna Davidson Politano's new book, Finding Lady Enderly. This is a page-turner laced with romance. The story is set in Spitalfields London's East End, in 1871. A poor orphaned waif, Raina Bretton finds the only way she can provide for herself is to sell rags and cast offs. She has recently read in the paper, her childhood friend and rescuer Sully's ship has gone down and all was lost at sea.
Love, redemption, sacrifice and loyalty are all woven throughout this story.
This was a story that kept me guessing until the end, then left me wanting more.
There were so many great lines or quotes in this book. I will give just one.
"With every spin, his movements were more alive, more vigorous, than I'd ever seen in him. It was as if he was a music box and she the key that would wound its spring and made it play. Around the room they flew, so wrapped up in the vision of each other and whatever they must be whispering back and forth."
I received a complementary copy from Revell Publishers through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are my own
