Looking for a way to help someone who has just finished cancer treatment? Give this book. Lynn Eib understands the power of telling a good story, and so this book has many of them. There are enough personal anecdotes about her to convince me that she knows what she is talking about. But most of her stories are about some of the others she has helped in her role as patient advocate in a busy oncologist's office. The stories help to point people away from the discouragements common to many cancer survivors: fearing recurrence, having to face people who insist on their staying "positive", wondering whether life will ever be normal again. She polishes her stories with inspiring quotes and suggestions that point the reader toward the future. This is a book of hope. I highly recommend it.
