Robin Greenberg5 Stars Out Of 5April 26, 2010Robin GreenbergAs a survivor of breast cancer as well as leukemia I was having trouble moving on. This book was a gift from the Lord and has helped me immeasurably. It was incredibly reassuring to know that I am not alone and that my feelings are shared by other survivors. Thank you Lynn!!!
Amy Givler5 Stars Out Of 5April 7, 2006Amy GivlerLooking for a way to help someone who has just finished cancer treatment? Give this book. Lynn Eib understands the power of telling a good story, and so this book has many of them. There are enough personal anecdotes about her to convince me that she knows what she is talking about. But most of her stories are about some of the others she has helped in her role as patient advocate in a busy oncologist's office. The stories help to point people away from the discouragements common to many cancer survivors: fearing recurrence, having to face people who insist on their staying "positive", wondering whether life will ever be normal again. She polishes her stories with inspiring quotes and suggestions that point the reader toward the future. This is a book of hope. I highly recommend it.
