I had no idea just how well Dana Mentink could do romantic comedy until I read book one in the Love Unleashed series, but I truly found it out with Fetching Sweetness. This book is wonderful! I totally loved it! From the crazy adventures of Stephanie Pink, I just love her name, and Rhett to Sweetness's habit of collecting strays in need of love, I enjoyed every minute spent reading it.
There are some truly thought-provoking moments mixed in with all the fun and romance. Both Stephanie and Rhett have some important things to learn as they spend several days together in close quarters with a huge dog.
And speaking of dogs, I love stories with pets in them. I just about died laughing over and over at Dana Mentink's hilarious and oh-so-very-true depiction of canine antics. Sweetness is just hysterical! You want to reach right into the book and hug him.
I really can't say enough about how much I enjoyed Fetching Sweetness. The romance, the comedy, the surprising twists, all made for a perfect read that I was sorry when I turned that last page. Now I will just spend my time looking forward to the next book in this heartwarming and side-splitting series.

I must admit that I struggled to connect with the main characters, Rhett and Stephanie. But even though the connection wasnt very strong for me with these characters, there were still some very sweet and tender moments that I enjoyed reading about which were wrapped up in Fetching Sweetness.
Both Rhett and Stephanie had signifigant journeys to travel both physically and emotionally in this book. Each believed that they knew the plans they had for their futures, and both of them had a lot of growing to do in understanding Gods desire to be part of their lives. Fetching Sweetness was a sweet journey with plenty of lighthearted humor.
