Fearless is a gem of a biography- Its a life changing story

Its the story of Adam Brown that gave his life fighting for our nation. I listened to the audio book and it was life changing. Adam was in many regards an amazing person full of potential. As a kid he stood out among his peers. His youth was a story book journey of daring adventures including being his hometown high school football hero. He made a huge mistake in college though and got badly hooked on drugs. Itll scare anyone straight when they learn what drugs do to you. I had no understanding of what full addiction is like. Its sad and gross. Adam then finds Christ and begins to turn his life around. Through a series of divine interventions and personal encounters, one being his wonderful future wife, he not only turns his life around, he eventually becomes one of the fiercest SEAL operators in Afghanistan. He is akin to a biblical hero in many ways: conquering oppressors, standing fearlessly and loving those around him including the children he met. The title "Fearless" doesn't apply solely to his combat attitude but rather to his whole life approach. He loved Jesus openly and confidently, he also loved his wife and children fearlessly, he loved our nation without shame, he loved his parents, he taught the kids Sunday school when on leave, and when deployed he taught his fellow comrades in arms what following Jesus looks like (such as running out into a field of fire to grab an innocent kid caught in the middle in order to throw him out of harms way). It is a gem of a life story. It will motivate you and cause you to reexamine your dedication to your personal mission. Buy a copy. It changed the way I look at life and how I live it. I share this to give others hope. Blessings.

Not kid friendly. Obvious war content and intense combat stories. Mature teens can read with guidance IMO.

I feel like every American needs to read this book. It is a sobering story of redemption, will inspire pride in your country and our military, adds humorous threads along the way, captures the beauty of love and commitment in marriage, and esteems the unbroken bond of brotherhood found in friendship. I cried buckets throughout this touching story of a man whose gear was always set to full throttle and whose bravery is one of the reasons I live in freedom today. Thank you, Adam Brown, and all of our military who serve daily for our protection and way of life!

Navy Seal Adam Brown grew up in Arkansas whose life was lived with a born fearlessness of danger, injury, Adam through 100% of himself behind whatever he did wherever he went. Both the highlights and the lowlights are on the pages of the pages of the book not to bring attention to himself but to Jesus. Adam left instructions should he be killed in combat that people know both the skeletons in the closet as well as his accomplishments in his life. I knew going into the book that I would tear up even though Adam is in heaven, no one can read about his family without feeling sad for what they have gone through and maybe yet going through.

The transparency with which the mans life is set before readers is amazing and may leave people speechless but above all it will leave them with hope. When folks read how Adam battled his own demons with his faithful wife Kelley beside him, and became a shining example it will remind us we are still surrounded by a cloud of witnesses as the Book of Hebrews states. Like the men and women in the Scripture you will see the dark part of life Adam lived through, to the heights of serving his country, hometown and family.

When everything around may state there is no hope or evil is making advances, this book will silence the naysayers who say there is no hope or God. I learned a lot not just about the man but this particular branch of service along with the high price families pay for our nation! There are many who need to be reminded that the freedoms enjoyed have come at a high price. Plus the freedom we enjoy can also be used to bring compassion, help and salvation to those lost in the darkness. If you have a person who loves biographies or military people, this one should definitely be a gift for them under the tree.

The Publishers Description gives a better description than I could give. I guess when I got this book, I was thinking it was from the authors point of view. I like how they let you get to know about Adam in life and in service. This is a great story that takes you in the life of one person. It shows his failures, his triumphs, and his trust in God. It said that his last request was for his testimony to be told, and with this book it has been completed. I love how it has pictures of him as a child throughout his life. It gives pictures of people in the story of life. At the end it leaves his Legacy which is an area where people tell what Adams story meant to them. There is an In Memoriam area that lists lost soldiers. This makes a soldiers life real. It is awesome to know we have such good Christian men fighting overseas. Its sad to hear of such a sweet family losing such a beloved family member; however, its awesome to know his story goes on to inspire. Thank you bloggingforbooks and Waterbrook press for this book in exchange for my honest review.
